Working in partnership with key stakeholders, including Hopwood Hall College, Manchester Zoo will create an integrated campus for formal and informal education, delivering one of the UK’s premier zoological further education courses and education and training opportunities to the local community.

Two and three quarter million people living within fifteen miles of the site create a huge market able to reach the site in a location where the nearest competitors are over an hour away by road. The proposed site on Rochdale Road benefits from excellent existing transport infrastructure which has the potential to be further enhanced by the proposed new rail station at Slattocks.
