On the site of a former gasworks Abbotts Lane will provide over 700 new homes in the heart of Coventry city centre. The project includes de-culverting Abbotts Brook and using this as a spine to connect the city centre to Nauls Mill Park, an existing Victorian city park. The new park link along the course of the brook also includes an innovative ‘under-park’ below the Coventry ring road which will form a venue for events connected with Coventry’s UK City of Culture celebrations. The project is on a fast track programme and is due for construction by December 2020.
